Brand Identity, Strategy, and Messaging
As the designer behind Wax & Wane Apiary, I wanted to create a brand identity that felt fresh and unique, avoiding the obvious choice of a bee as the primary logo. Instead, I had fun with the concept and introduced a bear wearing sunglasses into the logo and logo mark. This playful element adds a touch of personality and charm to the brand, setting it apart in the market. To complement this, I designed a custom honeycomb pattern that includes not only the bee but also the bear, a hive, a flower, and the ampersand from the logo. This pattern is one of my favorites, and it serves as a versatile element perfect for packaging or as a background.
The color palette for Wax & Wane Apiary is thoughtfully crafted to evoke warmth and natural beauty. The primary colors of honey gold, rustic brown, and salmon pink reflect the essence of the brand, while the secondary colors of forest green, dark brown, and light pink add depth and balance. This combination creates a cohesive and inviting look that captures the harmony and balance of nature that the brand stands for.
